Marie Calabrese, CPA, is the director of Gross Mendelsohn's Construction & Real Estate Group. A partner in the firm, she specializes in working with construction contractors, architectural and engineering firms, manufacturers and nonprofit organizations.

Marie helps her clients make educated decisions about their finances by fielding questions on how to account for unusual or complex transactions, among other things.

One of Marie’s favorite parts of being a CPA is that she’s never bored. Between mentoring staff, researching new accounting pronouncements, working alongside her clients, preparing financial statements and providing various accounting and advisory services, she learns something new every day.

Marie is the treasurer of Project JumpStart, a nonprofit dedicated to helping Baltimore residents enter the construction trades. Marie also serves as the finance chair for CREWBaltimore, which promotes the business interests and advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry. She is the former treasurer for the Banner Neighborhoods Community Corporation, a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting residents in east and southeast Baltimore.
