Known for her expertise in conducting overhead audits, Diana DeWitt Strassmaier, CPA, CCIFP, works closely with construction contractors, architects, engineers and government contractors to help them understand how overhead rates work and how to maximize compensation.

In addition to conducting overhead rate audits, Diana provides financial statement audits, reviews and compilations as well as business and individual tax planning, management advice, and accounting system advice to members of the construction, engineering, architecture and government contracting sectors.

She is a frequent speaker on overhead rates and is an instructor for several National Highway Institute seminars. Diana participates in numerous speaking engagements throughout the country, including but not limited to: 

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, Diana is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor as well as a Sage Fixed Assets Certified Consultant. A huge fan of using technology to simplify daily business tasks, Diana has presented at the Maryland Association of CPAs’ Technology Conference on multiple occasions, speaking on going paperless, netiquette and Adobe Acrobat Standard, and at the Sage Accpac Users Group meeting.

Diana is the former chairperson of the Maryland Association of CPAs’ Technology Committee and their Government Contractors Committee. She is a member of ACEC/MD’s Finance Committee and the ACEC AASHTO Audit Guide Task Force. In 2016, she was nominated for the Maryland Association of CPAs Women to Watch Awards under the Experienced Leaders category

  • Diana has a wicked arm and enjoys throwing the football and playing tennis with her young son. She looks forward to him getting a little older so she can throw long bombs to him without the fear of hurting him. However, she’s not looking forward to the day when he can outmatch her.
