He is the director of the firm’s Construction Consulting Group, which concentrates on providing specialized services – auditing and accounting, technology, tax and consulting – to clients operating in that industry. In addition to being a CPA, Steve is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional. The prestigious CCIFP designation is earned only by those with specialized expertise in the construction industry. Recognized as a construction industry expert in the Mid-Atlantic business community, Steve recently published two articles in the Baltimore Business Journal: "Handle change orders well and contractors can boost reputation" and "Selling construction business to employees a good succession plan." Steve also has experience serving clients in other industries, including real estate and manufacturing. As a Certified Valuation Analyst, Steve provides business valuation services for both the firm’s clients and other professionals and business owners. He graduated from James Madison University in 1984. He joined the firm as a staff accountant in 1985 and became a partner in 2001. |
