Anyone who sells alcoholic beverages — such as restaurants, bars, caterers and liquor stores — needs to be aware of Maryland’s new sales tax rate on alcoholic beverage sales.

The new sales tax rate was passed into law in the last legislative session and recently signed into law by Governor O’Malley.
