Gross Mendelsohn partner speaks at construction conference

Stephen K. Ball, CPA, CVA, CCIFP, participated in the Maryland Association of CPAs’ Government Contracting Committee’s “Tax Considerations for Government Contractors“ roundtable discussion on April 21, 2011. Ball’s comments covered numerous tax topics such as company types, accounting methods, multi-state issues, depreciation and others and how they apply uniquely to government contractors who have an added consideration related to establishing favorable billing and overhead rates.

Ball, a partner at the CPA and management advisory firm of Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, is the director of the firm’s Construction Consulting Group. In addition to being a CPA, Ball is a Certified Valuation Analyst and a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional. He is a graduate of James Madison University.
